Last night an old friend of mine showed up at my house in a really psychotic state and I had to make the tough call of calling the police to have him committed to the psych ward for help.
This morning I found out another dear friend has been in a coma for the past few weeks.
Tomorrow I start my first day as a high school science teacher.
It can be a brutal and harsh world ; all the more reason to try to work hard to love the people that you know and to try to bring warmth and light to a world that badly needs it.
